I don't know what you mean by "nice," but on a pleasant day I enjoy the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, about 2 miles east of Northbrook Court.

Define nice. What do you want to do? See? What are you hoping to find. You got the lake just a couple miles away. You got Randhurst Mall in Mt. Prospect. Woodfield in Schaumburg. Forest preserves all over the northwest suburbs. You're going to have to specify what you wanted to do at "this nice place" in order for a better suggestion.
Lol You could come with me to WGN's little block party Friday morning in Park Ridge. We can see how many people become nervous or stop and stare at the side of my head where I have a scar from brain surgery
