Is a function that maps binary to natural numbers a bijection?

    I would say no if you are refering to binary strings. After all, I believe there is a bijection between R & binary strings. Since R has cardinality strictly greater than N, it follows that we cannot have a bijection between the two.

    Could you explain what is meant by "binary" in this context? I know the word as a description of a certain way to represent a number. To my knowledge, it is not a set of numbers; it is not even a noun.
