Yes, but it depends on what makes a place good to visit for you.
If you want guaranteed sunshine, don't go to Ireland.
If you want to meet interesting people, see beautiful countryside, do lots of walking, don't mind the odd rain shower, and are happy to make conversation with random strangers, then Ireland is a good choice for you.
If you want to be in large cities with lots going on all the time, we really don't have large cities in Ireland, Dublin, for all that it's the capital, is not a large city compared to London or Paris.
