Do you pre-cook chicken breast before adding it to a casserole?

this is the recipe I'm trying and do not know the basics of cooking.

    The chicken can go in raw because it's going to be in a 400 degree oven for an hour. Once you put the dish in the oven just leave it there until the directions say to take it out and do whatever needs to be done. If you keep checking on it it will lose cooking time.

    I wouldn't use chicken breast in a casserole - casserole is long cooking, and chicken breasts cook quickly.
