Is this a good reason?

PLEASE ANSWER!!!! I'm 19 and I live in Australia. In 5 months time which is is in December. I decided to quit my talent which is violin. The reason why I decided to quit my violin talent because my parents' friends always want to hear me play violin so my parents forced me to play the violin for them. I don't care whether They want to hear me play violin because they're not my friends. If I quit violin because I hate playing the violin for my parents' friends. Is this a good reason for my parents' friends to be angry and mad at me? Please don't say 'tell your parents how you feel' because I want straight answers.

I'm australian. You're 19. An adult. Your parents will have to learn this. And you don't have to discuss this with them at all. Time to see the friends for who they are. People who take 'no i'd rather not' as a personal attack and get all huffy about it. You play when you want, for who you want!

My daughter is amazing on a unicycle. But if my friends wants to see her do it, and she doesn't want to put on a performance, they would NEVER be MAD at her! And i would never force her. She's not a performing monkey. Those people are horrible! Don't give up violin. If it's your talent and you love it, even if you're the only person in the world who will ever hear you play, it doesn't matter. If it's a passion, don't throw it away because of some morons. You have a right to say no, and a right for that to be accepted. That's the aussie way!

No, your parents' friends should in no way be mad at your for that. That would be completely unreasonable.
