Should I get a gtx 1060 3gb or a gtx 970?
I don't want anything except an answer. Don't say anything about prices or this or that. I only want to know if it's worth it to get the 1060 3gb or the 970 4gb.

The performance is nearly identical (1060 is 1% faster according to UserBenchmark). However, a lot of AAA games recommend having at least 4GB VRAM. Because of that, I would go with a 970 instead.
Be aware that the 970 isn't really a 4GB card. There are 4GB VRAM on the card, but the last 512MB chip is so slow that the GPU can't use it, so it's effectively a 3.5GB card.
