Yugioh - Xyz Summon and Black Horn of Heaven?
My opponent attempted to summon an Xyz monster using materials on the field and I used Black Horn of Heaven to negate the summon and destroy the monsters. Do the materials stay on the field or do they go to the graveyard?

Although it's not a cost, they've already overlaid the material monsters with the XYZ, before you even got chance to use the Black Horn of Heaven. You could think of it at the same timing as a cost, the same timing that you would (for example) send a Synchro Monster's components to the graveyard, place the Synchro Monster on the field and wait to see if anyone wants to negate.
So even before you have a chance to negate, the materials have become 'XYZ material monsters'. If you negate the summon therefore, the XYZ monster will go to the graveyard, and the material will go with it.
