Should I Get Upset?

Living nowadays people tend to get triggered a lot so instead of saying, "Love ya." to my friend and hear everybody say, "Ew you love her?", "Stop being gay." ect. so I just say,"Love ya bro no ****." and I m fine with that but she says I shouldn t be. I just do it to stop the annoyance of hearing complaints. Should I get upset?

    Why if you wish to express you self, why are you allowing other peoples distorted views to influence how you interact with your friends.
