Is now a good time to join the army?
I'm sitting down with the recruiter tomorrow to possibly sign a contract but I'm not sure if it's safe to do so now that trumps in office. I'm only signing for medical. But do you suggest I wait or go for it?!

Shar,
Do you wish to seek more info before signing? If so, then please do some in-depth research. Your recruiter will always wait. The military will always be there.
There are basically three items to consider in that context:
1. Global conflict is at its highest in several decades.
2. Risk of PTSD can be just as high in the reserves as active duty.
3. There are also other risks that are higher for vets than civilians: PTSD, LEGAL drug use, smoking, domestic abuse, divorce, suicide, compulsive sexual disorder, etc.
I am pasting an article below on world conflct. If you'd like more information, then please check the comment section for my expanded answer. It's a Yahoo*Best*Answer.

In the 241 years America has been a country, about 200 of them have seen us in some kind of fight..................... why do you think it would be worse under Trump?
0bama was no peace lover either.

I cant tell you to join or wait, that is up to you. But trump has little to do with what the military is actually doing day to day. Perhaps you should see what the army is actually doing right now in the way of combat. The more combat there is, the more medical help they will need. It doesn't sound like you've actually given this much thought or done your homework. If you are asking this question the day before you sign your life away, you shouldn't sign anything.
