Box braids?

Can anyone tell me if adding box braid extensions in my hair will interrupt the natural growth pattern of my hair like will the hair be heavy on my scalp and on my natural hair?

Actually, as long as box braids are done right they generally protect your natural hair and it becomes shiny and begins to grow faster! It will feel heavy at first, but the hair used is not very heavy at all. The only thing is that it sometimes feels very tight against your head for the first few days, which some find uncomfortable and some even get headaches from it. But as your hair grows and as you become used to them it goes away relatively quickly. Hope that helps!
