Since you have difficulty imagining its proper pronunciation

    so will readers

and for that reason I recommend that you choose a name that is more obvious in how it is pronounced

thus preventing that nagging doubt from settling in the minds of readers.

P.S. Another strategy is to have the character herself pronounce it clearly at the beginning of the story. (For example: someone in the story asks her, "How do you pronounce that?" and she answers.) That way you can use the unusual name and also be sure that the reader knows how to pronounce it.

I've normally heard it pronounced "Eye-sha," accent on the first syllable. In other words, you pronounce that first syllable just as you do the organ of sight: "eye".

It can also be pronounced with three syllables -- "Eye-ee-sha," accent on the second. Your choice.

It's a common Muslim name, being that of one of Mohammed's wives -- the one he married when she was still a child. She grew up to be something of a warrior woman in the traditional accounts.
