Opinion on my novels opening?

Every day was the same routine. Alice would wake up and a doctor would help to lift her into a sitting position, so that she could eat her breakfast. Every time a doctor would lift her, her back would ache as if a hot iron was pressing against it, causing her to groan. Her breakfast would consist of high protein foods. “This will help the skin to grow back quicker.” The doctors would tell her.

She would then be given 2 ibuprofen tablets 45 minutes before a nurse would come to wash her burns so that they wouldn’t get infected. Her face was the first to be washed. The nurse would take a damp cloth and gently rub the burned area from Alice’s cheek down to her chin. It was like knives being slowly inserted into her face.
