Frigidaire Glass Top Stove...Front right (large) burner shorts out?

Update:

Front right (large) burner used to get stuck on high, no matter the temp. Now, it won't cut on until about 4, and it eventually shorts out entirely. There is a little 'crackle' sound when it gets turned on, but it doesn't stay on for long. I'm happy to replace the appropriate part, but not sure how to identify it. Thanks!
