Hey stylish people; What area rug looks best on white tile?

Moving into a new house, haven't picked out furniture yet, but the majority of the flooring throughout the house is white tile.

The walls are also white but they can be painted.

Rather than rip out flooring we just want to put a large, decorative area rug in the living room but aren't sure what would look best.

Suggestions for colors are highly appreciated. Also, is a solid color better? Or patterned?

I would go for dhurries with some warm pale blue in the weave.

I suggest you start by looking around at what is available in your area.

If you need room sized rugs you might want to look into having the edges of a piece of regular carpet bound to make a big area rug. This is usually cheaper than big patterned area rugs if you find in stock or remnant carpet to do it with.

Check you your local flooring stores and find a knowledgable salesperson to help you.
