Can the Vice President refuse to be President if the President dies or resigns or gets impeached?

    Sure, he could also resign. If he refused to accept the Presidency, I would imagine the entirety of the Senate and House would call for a resignation, as would whomever became POTUS, presumably Speaker of the house.

    yes, of course. no one can force anyone to serve in a job s/he doesn't want to do

    I suppose he could resign. He couldn't and remain VP.

    Yes. That is what the line of succession is for. If he is unable or unwilling to carry out the duties of president, and then the next in line (speaker of the house) would be offered the presidency.

    He can of course. But then Paul Ryan, speaker of the House, becomes President

    He could probably resign as well, sending the chain of succession further down.
