Vyvanse or Adderall for focusing?

My psychiatrist recommended these medications since I have issues focusing. Which one works best and has the least amount of side effects? I REALLY want to be able to go back to normal and be able to focus on projects, but I don't want to have horrible side effects to do it. Vyvanse is also really expensive, insurance or not. Adderall is rather cheap.

Vyvanse is typically prescribed because it's really hard to abuse. You have to load with it, and it gets metabolized in the liver in to the chemicals that help you focus. But the side effects are pretty similar for both. I had occasional panic attacks, difficulty urinating, and a persistent feeling of the top of my head tingling. A friend of mine who took vyvanse had similar issues. I opted to just deal with my ADD issues and not take medications. Side effects weren't worth it.
