Can someone tell me why anyone in their right mind would buy new pants that look like rags like the picture below?

I think the parents ought to stop letting their kids from doing such a thing...I don't care even if it the "style" now.

Most people mindlessly follow fads without being able to realize how stupid they may be. I'll bet these ragged pants cost a bundle. Clothing makers are making loads of money selling such trash as this at ridiculously inflated prices.

Back in my day we got torn up jeans the old fashioned way, by wearing them. And occasionally taking a dull steak knife to them.

too them it's just a fashion statement or a trend they follow
