Is it past time for the Democratic Party to change it' s Name?

Only the Democratic Party defended slavery. The Democratic party embraced the KKK movement (even proudly welcomed them to their 1924 convention). Lastly, the Democratic Party was the originator of Jim Crow laws. These are all despicable actions that have no place in American society. The name is offensive to Americans who stand for freedom and justice. What do you think?

ha Ha, you are so right.

Not one single Republican ever owned a slave. That's a historical fact. The very name, "Democratic Party" is as tainted as the Confederate Flag as a symbol of oppression, tyranny and treason.

And, look at 'Stan', another brain-dead tool of the left. All these morons can do is scream 'RACIST'. It is all they have.

Possibly...but remember that the Democratic and Republican parties switched platforms in the late 1920's and have been as they are ever since. Maybe we should do away with political parties all together. Everyone run as an Independent, as Washington wanted.

No but it is obvious that some people need to catch up on history, The party's switched platforms right after the Civil war.

No. As between Republicans and Democrats, the only 2 parties that currently stand much of a chance overall, the Democrats really do support democracy in the sense that a Black's vote is as heavy as a White's.

Well if I was a liberal democrat and my political history was rooted in slavery, Jim Crow, Dixiecrats and opposing abolition, I would want those statues torn down too.

Change the Democratic Party to the "Vic-da-crats" party of victims.

This is all true. It's also ancient history. I prefer to deal with the present.

If the GOP wants to get on the right side of history again as they used to be, I'm all for it.

I think, as well as anyone with two eyes, a brain and knowledge of the Charlottesville riots, that you're an idiot nazi.
