I live in N,Y,State and wondering if I have to dig up daffodil bulbs in fall if so when,?

    Nope, no digging up. My Daffs are growing great for quite a few years already, and I am adding more bulbs this Fall as I enjoy the Spring-greeting.

    Noticed that Lowes has Spring-Blooming-Bulbs in store and bought a bag with 40 bulbs. My tulip-planting-tool will make the planting of the Daffodil bulbs easy.

    P.S. I also live in NY State.

    Daffodils should be left out almost permanently. You can and should divide them every once in a while, setting some aside for storage only every few years, but they don't really like being dug up every season.
