I m 24. She s 19. Is that weird?

I work with this girl. She s really cool. We have a lot in common and have been talking a lot. We hungout today and I learned she was 19(thought she was 21). I really like her tho. We are at similar stages in life. She s in college at the community college. I ll be starting trade school next fall. She will be 20 before I m 25. She s really mature. Should I date her? It feels right but I dunno

I see no reason why you shouldn't.

    Women mature faster than men.

That puts her just about perfect...for you.

It's not weird at all. It's totally fine. Age only comes into play when it comes to sex, which is obviously not a problem for you two since you're both adults. Age is only a number in dating. What's most important in any relationship is the quality of love between the two, not how old both of them are. Obviously, it would be a different story if this 4-5 year age gap was 13 and 17/18. That would be crossing a line and would be a no-no, sex or no sex. Age differences don't seem like anything as you get older.

According to this survey done in 2013 from the US Census Bureau, its not that uncommon for a couple to be 5 years apart.

A little over 13 percent of the couples were within 4-5 years with the male being older. Think about it, 13% is a little over 1 in 7.

(note that its a Microsoft Excel page, Google Sheets should be able to open it up)
