Can someone tell me what is the industry standard for audio and video files for web designing.?

I recently started learning HTML and pretty much covered the basic like image, heading and links So the next step was audio and video but i want to know what are the common used audio and video files over the net and specifically for a person learning wed designing.

    MP3, MP4 or others.

    h.264 MP4 in MOV, FLV or AVI or others.

    Depends what they are used for.

    Some still like Flash.

    Not sure I agree that the next step is audio and video.

    You should rather learn about CSS and creating layouts.
