Is it usual not to talk and move after a heart bypass?

My mum had a heart bypass yesterday, She woke up the early time on this morning but she is incapable of talking and moving. Will this be temporary or will she be in this state for the rest of her life?

Once she is well awake she will recover very quickly, I had a heart valve replacement with open heart surgery and I was out of hospital in a week, I did spend a lot of time recuperating at home though, there are a lot of things you're not allowed to do for a while.

How soon would you expect someone to talk and move around after having their ribs cut apart and sewn back together? The pain is pretty intense so patients are doped up for at least a few days following surgery becasue they should not be moving around or exerting themselves in any way until the surgical wounds start to close.
