In star trek, Lieutenant La Forge was born blind. Why can he see in Reading Rainbow?

    Because he isn't La Forge in Reading Rainbow.

    He can't. He was wearing special contacts that had pupils painted on them and he was fed what to say via a hidden ear piece. Books are useless to that guy.
