Should I take this dream internship or wait to hear back from an amazing job opportunity?

The internship could very well be the one thing that breaks me into my dream industry, and it is guaranteed, but it doesn t pay and its a few months only. BUT they could hire me if they like me ...

The job is for a nonprofit that I loved growing up, doing work I do enjoy, and it offers stability for the meantime. I should hear back next week.

What would you do?

The internship is asking for my hours, and they do know that I m looking for work, should I ask to them to wait for a week so that I can make the decision knowing for sure whether or not that I have the job as well?

I m probably going to have to take one or the other because the job is 8 - 5.

The internship only has two spots open T_T and I don t wanna lose it by saying something stupid!

I would look at these jobs as step one in the direction you want to go for a career. And then I'd pick the one which offers me that opportunity. I know one is unpaid, but if its a door to possible career, it may well be worth it. If you love the non profit as well and can see yourself doing that activity as a career, then go with the money.

So follow your dream and pick the one leading to it.
