Do cicadas indirectly impact the weather?

Since trees can be overwhelmed by several females laying their eggs in the shoots, would that in addition to pest activity impair the ability of trees to modulate temperature and air flow? From that logic, would it be reasonable to predict that certain Summers would be hotter than others based on the emergence of various broods? Thanks.

The amount of trees affected by a cicada infestation would not have a significant influence on the weather or vice versa. And in the instance a tree or groves of trees were overwhelmed by cicada activity, there are still too many variables at play to make a legitimate link between it and the weather. (Other factors may have contributed to the presence and viability of cicada populations, not the temperature alone.)
