Do the Red Sox play better in rainy/wet conditions?
With analysts claiming that the Boston Red Sox have the best base running in the league, would that mean they're more likely to play better on a wet field that's conducive to sliding, regardless of being at home or on the road? Thanks.
4 AnswersBaseball4 years agoIs there anything particularly beneficial about the Dallas Stars hosting the 2018 NHL Draft?
Can the money they make from admission and concessions go towards improving their salary cap, so that they can attract free agents and buy draft picks? Or does the money they make at the event have to go somewhere else? Thanks.
4 AnswersHockey4 years agoDo cicadas indirectly impact the weather?
Since trees can be overwhelmed by several females laying their eggs in the shoots, would that in addition to pest activity impair the ability of trees to modulate temperature and air flow? From that logic, would it be reasonable to predict that certain Summers would be hotter than others based on the emergence of various broods? Thanks.
2 AnswersPolls & Surveys4 years agoQuestion about the recent Cardinals-Giants matchup?
Were the Cardinals at an advantage due to playing in unseasonable heat in the San Francisco area? Since temperatures were more similar to what it's like in St. Louis, is it safe to say that's why they won 3 of 4 against the Giants? Thanks.
2 AnswersBaseball4 years agoWhat's so special about Lonzo Ball's shoes?
Those ZO2 shoes so infamously marketed by Lavar Ball? Are they an unfair advantage for players allowing for extreme propulsion for dunking or some sort of speed boost? Thanks.
4 AnswersBasketball4 years agoIs Ben Bishop's new mask considered an unfair advantage?
I'd image there could be some concerns over the new Dallas Stars player's goaltending mask. With it lighting up in the dark, upon contact with the puck, it could heat it up, going against the NHL's frozen puck protocol. Is this a legitimate concern among others? Thanks.
3 AnswersHockey4 years agoWhat advantages might an NHL team on the road encounter?
As opposed to the team with home ice? Rumor has it weather can actually have an important effect on conditions indoors. If Denver happens to be "rainier than normal," would a team from humid conditions like the Tampa Bay Lightning be more inclined to beat the Avalanche there at Pepsi Center (since the Avalanche players would likely not be used to such conditions)? Thanks!
3 AnswersHockey4 years agoHow old is the actress Jocelyn Hudon?
She plays Abby, a potential love interest for Zach on the show "The Strain," and I can't help but notice how much older looking she is. I wasn't sure how old she is and couldn't find anything on her birthdate and was wondering if anyone knew. Thanks.
