What's people's say on this????

Here's he big question, Me and the Gf have been together for 2 yrs we have a place together. For about 4 months her oldest son has been staying with us. We all agreed no rent to be paided til his bills got under control. Which now 4 months has been passed now his bills have been under control. Still now their is some time allowed to save up some cash so he is ready to get his own place. Which their was a problem with gf son not helping out around the house for example cleaning up house vaccum taking out garbage etc. One weekend me and gf went away for a holiday. Came back almost all the dishes were used up food with caked on dishes and spills were all over the counters and stove and ink was full. I have to admit i was really pissed off I got hot headed said whats this freaken mess. Also this isn't going to happen again. Some positive changes are gonna have to be made. Of course I would expect some backing from my gf. It basically got turned around that was the bad one that made the mess. Which was complete BS. Its been a few months have gone by things seem to be working good.

My question is I would like to here from other people is. If you have family or friends staying with you at your place it's not wrong or respectful to help keep your place clean and tidy. If you are staying at some ones place for rent or etc.
