The impact driver is a drill which bounces back and forth rapidly to impart an impact as well as drilling. This works will for concrete or stone. Special bits are used, as with impact in general.

One is a drill one is an impact :) impact drivers are seriously much better at driving and removing fasteners than a drill.Utilizing a much higher torque than a standard drill can produce.

A drill just turn from left to right or right to left. An impact driver does that but can put forward blows on the place where you are drilling. It makes drilling in concrete quite a bit easier!

Driver accepts only 1/4" hex bits, only has impact setting, and motor is smaller http://amzn.to/2fffBu9 .
Drill / impact drill has adjustable chuck up to motor rating size, usually multiple setting for spin or impact while spin.

the speed it turns at an impact driver doesn't turn fast enough to drill a hole it has a hammer action to tighten screws it would take an impact driver a long time to drill a 1/2 inch hole thru something 3/16 thick notice impact drivers don't have a chuck like a drill. If you want to drill holes and put a few self drilling screws in get a battery drill If you want to put self drilling screws in all day get a screw gun
