Why does society think we would all have children at the exact same age?

Not everyone thinks that. Some women have kids in their 20s, others in their 30s, and some in their 40s. Women are fertile for about 30 years so they can have babies if and when they are ready, not when some random idiot thinks. Hope this helps.

I think this must be a regional thing. In some areas of the country people tend to have babies very early, but in others it's common to not have first children until AFTER 30. I live in an area where the latter is more the norm. People here tend to be educated and well-employed, often in tech fields, and most people put off childbearing until the late 20s, 30s, or even 40s. The fact that the average income is high also means a lot more people are able to utilize fertility treatments, which also tends to result in later childbearing.

Many people don't have kids young anymore. And you are smart to wait till you are married and have a dad there to help raise your child and help support your child. Any one criticizing you for when you have children is an obnoxious person who has no right to tell you anything. ignore him and live your life as you feel is best for you.
