The O.A., hands down...
I love that show so much, beyond words!! (Although I wasn't totally crazy about the last episode of season 1, but okay, whatever..) It's got ALL the sh*t I love! NDEs. Far-out, spiritual, mystical, occult type stuff. Psychological stuff. Mind-bending, trippy, weird, alternate reality stuff. Excitement and suspense. Darkness and twistedness aplenty. Blurred, shifting realities, and overlapping narratives that could potentially ALL be true in different ways, depending on how you see it. Metaphysical questions. Beauty. Psychosis. Surrealness. Hope. Despair. Heavy symbolism. Infinite layers of meaning. Dark nights of the soul. Character growth and development. Finding purpose, even in the darkest of places. And just... You name it, it's got it. I'm in freaking LOVE with this show! And I relate to The O.A./Prairie, and what she comes to learn throughout the show, so freaking much, it's kind of scary! Like, to the point where I've been crying my darn eyes out upon watching certain episodes! Because everything inside of me just KNOWS...
..It's pretty special. I highly recommend it, to just about anyone who's interested in this kind of stuff. <3
