Staying up late on a school night?
I'm 14 (15 end of next month) and tomorrow around 5 I'm going to a concert with my friends, which ends around 9. There will be crazy traffic though and it's 40 minutes away from where we live. Since it's a popular band too, I might not be getting home until around midnight. Then I have to shower and that takes me about 40 minutes. I'm used to going to bed around 10 and waking up 6:30 for school. I don't know how I'll be able to handle only a few hours of sleep now. Also when I stay up late, the next morning I tend to get sick to my stomach and I end up puking. Don't tell me to not go to the concert because it's something I want to go to really bad. I don't want to miss school either because I started the beginning of September and I hate being behind on school work. Just please tell me how I can fall asleep fast and not be tired when I wake up in the morning for school. I'm not taking any type of pills or whatever either to keep me awake and I'm not drinking coffee because again I'm only 14. So someone please help me out thanks.

No shower should ever take more than 10 minutes, including the time to dry yourself!

If it in only 40 minutes away from your home you should be back well before midnight and you really don't need to spend 40 minutes in the shower. You could still be in bed by 10:00.

It's just one late night, you'll be fine. Just catch up on sleeping when you get home from school. Try an energy drink since you don't do coffee. And I know its bad for you, but sweet stuff like candy or juice keeps my energy up mid day during class
