Should she be deported? WHY
The First nations people are allowed to cross the Border and have had this privileged for 200 YEARS. Do they not teach history in your area?
The Treaty was designed by Alexander Hamilton and supported by President George Washington.
As a result of the Jay Treaty, "Native Indians born in Canada are therefore entitled to enter the United States for the purpose of employment, study, retirement, investing, and/or immigration"
US Border Agents are well aware of the procedures Canadian Born need to follow to pass the Border into USA.
In order to qualify for these privileges, eligible persons must provide evidence of their American Indian background to at the port of entry.

A Canadian can't be Native American, which is exactly why the Canadians don't use this euphemism.

If they have an INAC card, there is no problem. They are protected and have special privilege under the Jay Treaty of 1794.
Being that they are "Close" to you, your really should have known this.
