chemistry problem?

The labels have fallen off of three bottles thought to contain hydrochloric acid, or sodium chloride solution, or sodium hydroxide solution. Describe how you would determine which bottles contain which solutions.

    Punchy, this is easy. One is an acid, one is a base, and one is a neutral salt solution. All you need is an indicator, and the most common one that comes to mind is litmus Litmus will turn red in the acid, blue in the base, and do nothing in the salt solution.
