Why can't we have open debates in the Senate on health care?

McConnell is dependent on Party Line votes. The last Healthcare bill came out and there was only hours to even read it. They don't care as much about what's in the bill as repealing Obamacare. Trump came out saying this bill was fantastic and every Republican should vote for it, without reading it.

Because the Republicans won't allow it. People need to stop voting for them if they really want Congress to get something done.

Because the GOP has the majority in the Senate and only Mitch McConnel can call a debate to the floor. He does not want to debate health care because they cannot defend their new bill Trumpcare 2. They know that it would not even stand up to a CBO review so want to bring it to the floor for a vote not only without debate, but without congressional budget review.

They know that the less we know about it, the more likely we will be open to it. Its a bill designed not for healthcare for the people, but to reduce costs and services for the people's healthcare so that they can make room in the budget for a tax break for the rich.
