I didn t get the movie Mother starting Jennifer Lawrence, who did?
I m not going to say it was bad, but it was all over the place with little explanation for what was going on. I tried to get a grip of the plot but then it went left. HAHA!! Is it a story from the Bible because i seen a little Cain and Abel going. PLEASE SOMEONE explains or give your own theory.

Someone already said what the characters represent, but I will add that I think the movie is a bit more than just a heavy-handed allegory/cautionary tale. The movie was marketed a mainstream horror movie and I can understand that people feel mislead, but I viewed it as a dark comedy that is satirizing the idea of a divine creator and in the end I have to say the movie really engaged me. It's a weird one and I get why most people hate it though.

Let me explain this pretentious piece of garbage:
Badens character is supposed to be God
Jennifer Lawrence is supposed to be Mother Nature
Their baby is supposed to be Jesus Christ, whom is then sacrificed and eaten like in the first communion ( eat the body and drink the blood is the metaphorical communion)
Michell pfeiffer and husband are supposed to be adam and Eve
Their children Cain and Abel
Jennifer's house is supposed to be planet earth,
the guests are supposed to be us: dirty, destructive, disrespectful humans desecrating mothers earth careful creation: our planet/their house
Bedens charcter is happy with the guests that he sees as his children as he is God the creator, and is willing to sacrifice his own son (baby/Jesus) to keep his herd of guests in his house.
So this awful movie is supposedly about the environmental issues and a "methaphore" of religion, both ridiculous arguments to defend that hot mess.
