de broglie relation and propagation of errors ?

starting from de broglie relation λ = h/p , show that propagation of errors implies that λ = hΔp/p^2 = λ ^2 Δp /h

can anyone please help ??

    λ = h/p

    Differentiate:

    dλ = - h/p^2 dp

    In a linear approximation therefore

    Δλ = h Δp /p^2

    You can substitute p = h/λ on the right hand side to get

    Δλ = λ^2 Δp / h
