Will plugging in multiple devices into a usb hub create delay?

Most of my laptop's usb ports are broken and the last working one I have is usb 2.0

the laptop is quite old and has been through a lot of wear and tear.

however, i want to plug multiple things into my usb hub. i like to game a lot so if there is a significant amount of delay on my mouse input, it's going to be a no-go.

the things i want to plug in and anything that may draw any extra power:

- cooling pad (4 fans and leds)

- gaming mouse (leds)

- headset adapter + headset (my headphone jack is broken too so i've been using an adapter to convert a usb into a jack)

- occasionally a flash drive

    what do you think is gonna happen? expect a little puddle of solder.

    That won't work so well unless that hub has an external power connector. Beyond a certain point, those devices will draw more power than what a single USB2.0 port on that laptop offers, especially if you intend to use power and bandwidth hungry devices like external hard disks.
