Why don't catholics tear down the devil worshiping obelisk at St. Peter's Square?

Update:

And tell the pope to remove his hat that gives honor to the fish god.

Because if they did, they'd have nothing to worship.

The obelisk at St. Peter's Square worships the devil? How does it do that, considering it's composed of marble? Do my marble kitchen countertops also worship the devil? Is that why they're so hard to keep clean?

Why dont they throw the doors open and let the homeless live there. Then it would be usefull.

For one, because it's an obelisk and so is incapable of worshiping anything.

By the symbolism symbols have to the people who make them or use them is in no way affected by what they mean to you or what you fantastically imagine those symbols mean to them. If that obelisk actually represented anything un-Catholic or un-Godly, it wouldn't be there, so pack it in and put your crackpot theories and paranoia away.

Speaking of obelisks, the Washington Monument was the Catholic Church's idea and was built entirely of marble donated by the Catholic Church, so why aren't you asking the U.S. government to take down the Washington Monument?
