The universe is roughly 14 billion years old. our sun is a 2nd generation star. Its been going about for about 5 billion years. Deduct 5 billion from 14 billion. Which is 9 billion. Very very very simple arithmatic. What is so so so hard for you to understand about that

For starters, there were no people at the beginning of the universe. People invented the concept of time. No people, no measurement of time. So, that first day may well have been several billion of our years long.

Because, using the rotation of our planet on it's axis and around the sun we have invented a reference time scale for use on our planet. Using that scale and observing the rate of expansion of the universe we can back calculate to the time when the universe would be a singularity. We can determine the age of the sun by radioactive dating of material in our solar system.
So we know the age of the universe and our sun, fairly simple to those not mentally challenged.
