    what does it transform to.

    - Heat.

  • Moose, when you ask Christians/Atheists/Fence dwellers "Is it true that energy can never be destroyed?" and you think that it is a myth that energy can never be destroyed, you are arrogantly placing yourself above professional physicists, INCLUDING EINSTEIN.

Your question directly relates to the first law of thermodynamics, which states that energy cannot be created or destroyed but may convert into a different form.

Einstein's equation E=MC^2 is one of the fundamental facts of physics. It states that energy can be changed into matter, and matter can be changed into energy.

But aside from that, when light impinges upon matter, part of the light is reflected off, while the other part is absorbed into the matter and converts to heat, which is another form of energy.

With all of your postings here, you seem to always have a misunderstanding, or a total lack of understanding, of basic science.

For example, did you look at my comments to my answer in response to your comment?

I am beginning to wonder if your ignorance is feigned on your part and you are actually a troll.

@Jim V's definition of the second law of thermodynamics is not quite what the second law states.

The second law states that in a CLOSED system there can be no net increase in available energy, and that any process that occurs in such a system will result in an increase in the entropy--the degree of unavailable energy--in the system.

    Matter/energy cannot be destroyed.

That is the First Law of Thermodynamics.

However we know that energy moves from a more useful state to a less useful state.

The least useful state is diffuse low energy radiation.

Light diffuses toward low energy radiation as it travels from its source.

This is the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.

Eventually the universe will run down ... run out of useful energy and become dead, cold and dark.

Reaching a thermal equilibrium approaching absolute zero.

This is the 3rd Law of Thermodynamics.

Define destroyed. It can be converted into something other than itself, which is all any form of destruction can do.

no one has ever made energy disappear or observed it disappear while in this reality. It is a law of this reality that energy can only be moved around but cannot be created or destroyed while in this reality. It is an unprovable truth.

The fact of the matter, Energy will be destroyed when God comes back to destroy all of the unsaved of the world, and Satan and his fallen angels, God will destroy everything that has sin and that is unsaved and the last thing that will be destroyed is death; Then God will create a new heaven and a new earth without sin.

Light can be transformed into heat or electricity.
