After a breakup is it acceptable to ask the guy who broke it off to not date for a few weeks?
Like I'd be really hurt if he did but I'm embarrassed to admit it. Would it be appropriate to ask him not to date anyone else for a few weeks to let me move on and get closure? I don't want to seem pathetic so please be honest with me so I won't do something I'll regret.

You have the option of making this suggestion - there's no harm in it if he's not too bad of a bloke but , it doesn't necessarily mean - he will listen
