Part-time jobs for a 16 y/o?

I'm turning 16 soon and I need a job in order to somewhat sustain myself as I won't be living at home and I need to pay for expenses like food, clothes (though not too often), and rent. My gas and schooling are paid for by my parents.

I'm going to live with my older sister but I am expected to pay part of the rent. I live in Kansas.

I also will be juggling both highschool and college 5 days a week.

What kind of places would be able to allow me flexible hours in order to accomodate my schooling? I don't mind working longer on weekends. What kind of schedule should I expect and how much would I need to work in order to afford food, clothes, etc? I know that I won't be making much but I just want enough to pay for small expenses/nessecities.

What you're describing isn't legal here. As a minor your parents are obligated to provide shelter and food and the like. They can't just dump you to your own devices. They don't have to pay for your gas - a car is a privilege, not a right. You can get a job to afford that part. But they can't kick you out without support. That's illegal.

    (1) you will be limited to the openings that the other 1000 or so people will apply for (2) YOU need to be available when the company needs you to work, not the other way 'round (3) you need to look online at the few legit sites that post openings
