what type of fluorescent light do butchers use in there meat display cabinets to make the meat look nice ?

    Ideally a 950 (90% Color Rendering Index, 5000° kelvin), like an Osram FO32/950 http://amzn.to/2ik5gh6 , but they are expensive and not readily available, sometimes a Wide Spectrum Grow lamp http://amzn.to/2zXKmLM . A low end grocer may use an 850 (80%, 5000k), but fats will appear yellow.

    A particularly difficult aspect of finding a lamp for meats is they need a high "R9" value, which isn't part of the CRI formula, so little engineering for marketing addresses it, especially among discount copycat manufacturers.
