gift for a motorcycle enthusiast (revised)?

my dad rides a honda, from the first day of spring to the last day of fall. he rides to and from work as well as longer trips (he road from PA to NC this summer) hes a lone wolf rider and has good riding gear including a full face helmet built in with speakers for the ipod i got him last year. good gloves, jacket, pants, boots, thermal stuff for 40 degree weather. are there any other items i could buy him for christmas that would help him along his rides? must have stuff that he may not have heard of? and has anyone tried those magnet strips you put on the bottom of your motorcycle to make red lights change that normally dont detect bikes and do they work?

    Kevlar undergarments?

No clue about the magnets... but can't imagine a magnet weighing less than 400 lb. would make any difference. .. and then you would have trouble with all the flying manhole covers impacting the motorcycle!

Buying stuff for a motorcycle is a very personnel decision. I would suggest a gift Card from your local Honda motorcyle dealer.

Most motorcycle-dads are cool so WHATEVER you give should be appreciated.

A Gift Card from his Honda Shop can save you a worry without being insulting, HE gets to present himself.

(tell him at Thanksgiving that Candid Chris on YA says his Honda is a turkey, buy a REAL BIKE. pre-Christmas Ho-Ho_)

Source(s): Riding/racing for 55 yrs (have owned a few Hondas and a few other brands).

Things motorcycle riders love but that are not that expensive but they always need. Those sponge ear plugs you get at walmart a bucket costs about $10 we motorcycle riders love that. Also a "magnetic tank bag" that costs about $40-$50. See video below. Also good motorcycle gloves that match his bike.

How about a set of tires? Oil changes for a year or two? The next factory service on his bike? Rider backrest?

Not familiar with those magnet strips, or if they work or not. I've never had an issue with the lights not changing for me.

You don't mention if he works on his own bike, but this tool works really well: https://www.amazon.com/OptiMATE-TEST-Cranking-Alte...
