cd player stopped working. won't play or burn cds. making clicking noise. is there a fix?

    If there is a "fix", it will be at the hands of a technician at a repair shop.

    I would Definitely have it looked at before I replaced it,

    but replacement is often the best or only option.

    Because of cost to benefit in repairing smaller electronic devices, for most, you are better off replacing such devices. Many electronic repair shops even charge a minimum fee for assessing a repair, than can be more than the purchase cost of the device. Hi speed automated manufacturing gives us price per unit benefits that are a wonder of the modern age, and make lots of product available to people who would otherwise not be able to afford them. however, repair is a manual procedure, and does not reap these cost benefits. Most things are repairable, but you should require an estimate before deciding to do so.

    Get a USB Blu-Ray player/burner.

    They aren't repairable.

    Replace it.
