can college football replace the NFL?

there are many places where there is a large college near an NFL stadium. Many Alumni of the college, go to the college games and have lost interest in their city's NFL team, so do we really need those overpaid NFL jack @$$ es?

If college football can be a substitute for the NFL , among smaller metropolitan areas in the southeast, what this shows is that football is only as important as you believe it to be.

If you want to just drive to a college stadium that is within driving distance of your home and then get together for tailgate parties, it brings into question why you need to fly to an NFL city and spend so much money for a football game.

If you live near Atlanta and are a graduate of the University of Georgia or Georgia Tech, you can just drive to Athens or Atlanta and not spend all that money to see the Falcons play in their brand new stadium and find the game to be any less enjoyable.

The NFL is the reason many of the top players go to college in the first place. Without pro prospects, they won't bother going.

No. While college football may be king in the southeastern part of the country (many of those areas also do not have an NFL franchise) it still isn’t anywhere close to the national popularity of the NFL which still generates more revenue than all the other pro sports combined.
