Limited Space on Android Tablet?
I recently purchased a new android tablet that has about 8 GB of storage. I have been uploading pictures and videos to the tablet and once it reaches 5.35 - 5.40GB of space left, it stops working or won't take anymore space. I cannot install any apps on it either when that happens. But if I delete or move some of my photos back on the desktop and it has 5.75 - 6 GB of space it will start working. I haven't put any apps on it either. If I install an app though I have to do it before I start adding any documents or photos to it. What should I do? Maybe take it back? Is it defective? I have 5 GB of space to work with and I feel like I am not able to use all of it.

Never buy an Android tablet that does not have a slot to put an SD card into if that tablet you bought does not have a space to put an SD card into to store pictures and music upon you need to take it back real quick go on eBay and buy an iRulu 10in with a keyboard $100 or less if your tablet says that it has 8 gigs of space that means you can store about 5 gigs of information on it and the rest of it is devoted to the operating system once it reaches about 4 gigs to 5 gigs of items you have stored you can't store anymore on it but if it has an external SD card you can store as much as the SD card will allow on the SD card you can even move apps to the SD card

You should have bought a tablet with at least 16 Gb of storage and a microSd slot. A microSd is a great place to put photos, videos, music, etc. Apps will always download to internal storage and there needs to be room to download, unpack and install the app. Few apps let you then move them to microSd.

You'll need a bigger hard drive if you don't wanna remove the current apps or files taking up space
