Anyway the U.S shouldn't forget that, when France came help them to defeat the British during the revolution war, the US soldiers surrendered with many many white flags ( the ones that want to say: '' OK. We surrender ''.
Without France, the U.S wouldn't be independent and American people would be singing:
'' God save the Queen ''.
Like France without the help of the US, all its allies and the French resistance, would be ( probably) forced to say:
'' Heil hitler ''.
