Criminal records online for free?

Please help me with some online sites where we can get somebodys criminal background details for free. I have found a few sites where its asking to pay before checking. Without paying can we know them who are local and abroad?

    Court records are of public record. Start there.

    IN most countries in the world criminal records are not 'public available information' apart from some that are decades or even centuries old....so finding sites is one thing getting to see what they hold for free is another thing.

    Public records means "records ABOUT the public" it doesn't mean free for the public to view
