If God actually didn't exist, as atheists claim, it wouldn't matter if people did believe in Him. Perhaps some atheists do think that way, but they are not the ones who post on R&S. I believe that atheists who do troll on media like R&S are insecure in their belief in God's nonexistence.

It's more like, why do theists think atheists think that how we feel about a god's existence would affect its existence?
The existence of things is not a democracy. It either does or does not. And there is 0 empirical evidence of gods.

Easy, because of the corrupting influence of religion on our society as a whole. Your god is already nonexistent. The problem is to get you to realize that fact.
